I've just remembered it was my wife's birthday last Saturday. I was always brought up that it was the thought that counts. So come on folks help me out with advice as to what I could have bought as a present, or what we could have done to make her day special, if I'd remembered. I'm then planning to surprise her, and tell her I've remembered her birthday, and tell her about all the things we could have done, or I could have bought, if I hadn't forgotten. All suggestions welcome on any level. She's been a bit quiet this week in That Thai woman sort of way, so I thought this surprise might cheer her up. Cheers for your help Fletch  |

I think you need to do something and FAST. As in right now. No time to lose. This should be a humbling experience for you. What doesn't kill us usually costs us money.

Just to add I'd particularly appreciate suggestions from Cheapcharlieadvisor as I was also brought up the best things in life for free. I don't mind spending a bit of money though so if wealthier members like Naam chipped in that would also be good. But please no suggestions as to USD 1,200 investment courses as she was already educated beyond Pathom 1, and finds that stuff boring anyway, even if done by a self-proclaimed Polish pikey Oh and ladies insights would be particularly welcome. Like your other posts BTW Bit worried though as my food has been tasting funny since last Saturday. We were out having a meal and a drink, then a few friends came in, so I asked if it was OK that I didn't come home with her and the kids, and come home later, so I could have a few more drinks with them and watch the football. BTW Is it just rats I should be worrying about, or given we're based in Thailand, do you think it could result in punishment that feeds the ducks? Cheers Fletch |

Great stuff. Think the Bolton Wanderers greatest moments you mentioned would be more appropriate for the time involved though. Officer and a Gentleman drags on a bit, plus I'd rather not be compared naked to the other Gere bloke.  Or were you thinking more about the Bolton Wanderers greatest moments DVD as foreplay?
