Before I go any further - how to convert youtube videos to MP3. Use this link - there are others - convert2mp3.net/en/Create a playlist - insert a USB on your laptop, right click the playlist and paste it into the usb. And that's it. Stick the USB into your car music system or home music system and you're good to go.

I hated the 70s. I struggled through adolescence armed only with an out of date condom in my wallet and a dream that the 80's would be better. We went from the swinging 60s (which I was too young to enjoy) that gave us the birth of modern music, England being the football world champions, the mini skirt, drugs for breakfast and the mini car to a whole decade of utter trash and problems. The 70s for me was full of 3 day weeks, power cuts, successive incompetent governments, crap music (think of the Osmonds, David Cassidy, etc.) Scotland beating England in football and The Austin Allegro.
The only good part was right at the end of the decade I began my drinking career.

The doing we gave you the next year showed ya'll your rightful place. I remember all the things you talk of in the Seventies, however I don't share your lack of enthusiasm. In many ways the Eighties, especially the early Eighties, were worse.

Yae, I was a seventies guy, will duly put some of my favourites up here soon. In 72 I was into the stay pressed trousers and Ben Sherman shirts!!! Talked to a guy on Skype the other night who I hadn't heard from in 40 years. Seemed he tracked me down on fb. We got as drunk as skunks talking about our schooldays, and "where did the time go?"

Weed, mushrooms, alcohol and lots of girls filled my life wherever I went. Travelling Europe with all I owned on my back and meeting lots of others who were doing the same.

For me, one of the highlights of my early days was watching Geoff Hurst streaking down the left and letting loose a volley which the keeper never saw. 4-2 and the entire country went wild!!!!!
