 G'day, how ya goin' mate? Ok thanks for clarifying what a Brummie is, with teaching TEFL important to have a standard pronunciation as opposed to being a native speaker. I've never taught it but worked with some of the best who happened to be Singaporeans. Not a trace of accent, news reader material. Love laughing at these types that think they're invincible.  on FB, that Noyes who had him strung up has pics with top cops all over and apparently insinuating someone is gay in Thailand is libel. Loving this story. It doesn't mention a mod on SZ almost got burnt for allowing the pics to run and be commented on, only mod in Thailand besides the fool admin. |

sen, when I first went to Thailand in 2005 I made the mistake of asking Thais - "How ya going" and the replies were like - "Where am I going ? Who's going ? Why you want to know where I going? I not going"
so I stopped using that line and tried using the local lingo. Even after studying Thai for six months at AUA in Chiang Rai, learning to read and write Thai and trying hard to speak like a Thai for the past 10 years my Aussie accent still confuses them.
One day I tried to tell my first wife's mother that I just received an order for 100 handbags for a guy in the USA and she told my wife I told her that Al (my friend) had three girlfriends in America.

Here's a funny story. Back when I was on SZ I called Topper a cawk when all this fiasco started, he got so upset he IP blocked Abu Dhabi where I was working at the time. Seems another poster was also there who got his IP messed up for no reason I bypassed it with a proxy so he started a poll about having me banned. I voted for myself, eyebleed reading some of that stuff. I didn't get banned but jailed. Fun times those, I only had to log in and Topper was all over me like a rash. Hahahaha |
