I do believe he lost his job over it. So there is some small justice in the world.

He lost his job when he was arrested for 'Computer Crimes'. Then he fell into another job. His own English program at that former school would not have him. If you listened to his rants on the SZ podcasts, he was a ship builder originally. Escaped to Thailand to find a better life.

I am at a loss what he is doing with a Filipina wife scamming people in Thailand. This is not merely a fora dislike between he and I, the facts are out there in court papers, newspaper articles and blogs about the scumbag.

That imbecile is now asking for help.

A Facebook group brought up the Topper saga and I decided to reply here. How do I feel that Topper was jailed? Vindicated and happy.

I started TeflWatch in 2006 from the office computer in Kanlayanee School in Nakhon Sri Thammarat. No one knew who I was and things went well for about a year. In mid 2007, after a thread about a TEFL course provider, there was a hunt ensued to find me. I had to leave Thailand since there were threats of jailing me for the posts made on the forum.

I went to the Philippines. I had known Topper online and I became much more open as to who I was. He asked to be a moderator to be my eyes and ears on the ground in Thailand so I said why not. I had zero reason not to trust him. I found something amiss when he deleted a thread about a particular school and defended the school in public and private. I was told in PMs from someone at the school that he took money from the school. I was also told by two other schools that he had approached them saying that he could delete any negative threads for money. With this confirmed, I decided that I would delete him as a moderator and restore the deleted school posts.

That is when all hell broke loose. Topper spent more than a year openly attacking me on any venue he could in Thailand and he ended up getting quite a bit of support. Topper was considered an all around nice guy and I was the evil guy. It's for those reasons that I left the Ajarn Forum behind. I knew that going there would turn into a trolling game and I had better things to do with my life.

I talked things over with my wife and closed down TEFLWatch and its other vestiges. No need for that kind of BS. I still have all the old databases to the forum and site. At some point when I am bored, I could put them back up.

What am I doing now? Since leaving Thailand, I lived in the Philippines, Saipan, China, the US, and now Mexico. When I went back to the US, I finished a Master's degree in Engineering. Now, I live near the beach in Baja California. I do advising for a community school here in a once religious community when I'm not doing consulting work in San Diego.

And yes I am happy and feel vindicated. I'd love to hear any updates on the case.
