Had a letter in the last week from Citibank Singapore stating from 2018 onwards Singapore based banks will be giving account data of British pp holders to the facists in the UK, it doesnt affect me as i am Non resident and havent set foot in the UK in 15 years, so they can kiss my lilly white arse
But as heads up if anyone is stashing cash in Singapore to keep it from the prying eyes of HMRC, i would guess they will be handing over residential adresses as well, so i guess if your address is Thailand, they may not look to hard, but if using a UK address for corrspondance, they may become " interested"
There is whole list of countries who have done this deal with the UK, but funny enough Thailand aint on the list

Seppo and the facist barstewards in the UK, anusing thing is Citibank in Sing will not touch a seppo unless they are working and paying tax in Sing, a mate of mine who is a Seppo (a decent one) tried to open an account and was working in Thailand, first question they asked are you 'merican or hold a US green card...soon as he said he was a full blooded one, the shutters went down at Citibank and they politely declined his business |
