Although it's not a public holiday, or even officially recognized, today is be nice to <BBQ> day.
So if you have anything nice to say about <BBQ> please post it here.
I'll start. He does good restaurant reviews sometimes. He must love his food because some of those reviews are several plates of food in a sitting which is helpful to the reader if they wanted to visit that restaurant.
I appreciate that about the guy, his love of cuisine.

Yes Seb, but it's not his fault he likes a few bits of lettuce to go with the half a bottle of full cream mayo. Read some of his stuff. It's genes, no he's big boned, it's the medication, any excuse is good enough. I got a holiday for fat shaming him. Look at the guy, he's got 69,199 posts he should get off his sedentary lifestyle arse and do something about his morbid obesity. Some of his stuff is admittedly hilarious. Well, never a real or an unreal girlfriend but I came close at about 13.
At that age my looks peaked, could have been a boy band pop star, and so many of the girls were swooning over me ... very unsettling.
It was between two girls, one Japanese and one Jewish (but not a J.A.P. as in Jewish American Princess, rather a no attitude cool earthy girl). We didn't have Latinos in those days. trump woulda loved it.
(There was another more traditional Jewish girl who was REALLY into me before then, it was like she was already booking the wedding reception, but when I made it clear my academic interest was "liberal arts" and not medical school, she dropped me right quick or maybe her parents made her.)
They were best friends and we had an ironic flirty thing going on. For some reason I was caught looking at the feet of the Jewish girl in class, and it probably did look like I was PERVING on her feet, and we had a big joke for years that I was a foot fetishist. It wasn't ever true, but we all found it funny. There were even comic drawings about that, me and this girl's feet. The Japanese one taught me about the concentration camps for Japanese Americans (her parents) and about seminal nocturnal emissions of her male cat (I think that was probably a hint looking back but then I just thought TMI and I don't even like cats not to mention I'm very allergic). We hung out a lot, walking home from school together, and as I never made a move and clearly was never going to, not even to hold her hand, she kindly informed me that I was gay. Really thre needs to be a bit more of a build up to National JT Day, so people can prepare. I do hope he would get some free baht bus rides on such an auspicious day

Saw the words "baht bus" in the link and got all excited, thought it was a Resurrection of the famous saga of the drunken Iranians who could have easily snuffed JT's lights out that night. But no, it was some harebrained babbling about men sitting on the bus with their legs apart. Very disappointed.  "Queer" is a very good adjective when used correctly. |
