So what is the best sound you ever heard,a newborn baby's first, wail, maybe a bird twittering softly at dawn, maybe the wind in the willows, all romantic and lovely, for me it was the coughing roar of the common rail diesler, after fixing the clogged fuel pump ,after breaking down low on water,in the outer reaches of the Simpson desert,i was alone, and had to work under a cloud of swarming bush flies,it was hot ,there was a lot of sand around, but when i heard that engine cough back into life,i have never heard a better sound, give me yours,Ladies and Gentlemen

Daughter's heartbeat at the wife's first ultrasound. Then when she cried at the delivery.
The Simpson desert Marko... Nice and warm out there isn't it!

Thunderstorms and the sound of rain.
Waves crashing on the beach and water lapping around a jetty.

That whistling sound is actually disturbing, then again I don't like flying. I prefer the sound landing.

The crisp end of a dry fart (minus the dreaded 'Phut' of a follow thru)

I live in a state of constant terror of the follow thru.

If in doubt into the bog and keks down and sit down the worst repercussion is a splashback. However ''splashback'' can be eliminated.

One thing that got to me, and only really hit me after a few weeks.
My Mother had a stroke about three years ago. Rushed to hospital, pacemaker installed etc.
It was her voice on the phone telling me not to worry everything was good. Just the thought of not hearing her voice ever again and then hearing it!! Made me cry even more - but from happiness.
Another, when i still had a cat. He used to purr. It would start off like a deep purr and then creshendo into an almost bird like chirrup. That sound meant he was happy and content and i just felt relaxed.
