Some of us have lived in Thailand "long time" and hopefully learnt a bit. You chose to go to another S E Asian country, and the rules might be different, I don't know, never tried it.
Hungary I suspect is very European, I am European and can quickly assimilate into that culture. I know the background, the religion (favourite topic of the moment) and hence much of the cultural heritage.
Burma, British colony, once and then I do not know.

ie, 25 baht + 25 baht = 50 baht and the change out of a 100 baht note is............ ? der !
and then you get the change in 5, 10 and 20 baht denominations as if to say with a look of, shove that smarty pant farang. which takes even longer once they have added all of that up, ffs.
