Actually rgs, I have watched both those versions lately and hard to pick the best one out of them. They are all good and Lisa Fischer is made for that song.
I found this version from May 2013, recorded in Las Vegas, her voice is better than ever. Note the backdrop of the stage -

A wonderful evening with Gop and his daughters. Kat, the precocious one. Gamp, daughter of another friend,. They took my earphones and went wild.So funny. Yep , what a night. Gamp, Jessie and Kat, having their free English lesson, all very informal. Gamp's mother, with her sausage stall, who has remarkably good English skills. I will not venture to guess why. Jessie the serious one, busy with her drawing. Kat took my phone and earphones. The plug came out, Jessie just instantly took over, knew where to plug in. Then the crazy dancing. Huey and me dancing, Boy turning his sound bar on. The clan if you like. Gop of course used the famous line, "Go home buhi,". Which of course means we are all having too much fun and consuming a lot of amber liquid. Unforgettable, but not unusual. |
