Only a matter of time till the Nation realises they are <c**ts> and have nothing to offer in return.

I think they did and had a lovers tiff, and thats why you couldnt post a link to the nation on TV It was the Bangkok Post you couldn't (and still can't) post a link to. The Nation sort of stepped in to fill the news gap. (Still don't understand the legality of saying "you can't post a link to a public web page that anybody can read". The Bangkok Post was moronic for trying to impose such a restriction, and ThaiVisa was just as moronic for agreeing to it since they weren't getting any money from the Bangkok Post anyway. [IIRC, ThaiVisa at the time was hosted in Singapore, so outside Thai jurisdiction.])

Last thing George wanted was to get involved in a Computer Act battle with them. What made George lie awake at night? The risk of being a banned IP in Thailand.

^^ That info came from an impeccable source, who also said that George wasn't interested in the goings on in the mod room. Hence why mods were allowed to run out of control. Source said he'd appear every now and then with an opinion but normally it was "I leave it to you guys."
George also paid people to post on his behalf. Couldn't be bothered with the humdrum of maintaining a social media presence. A high percentage of posts made in his name weren't made by him.
Fact.

Does anyone have the Nation group management contact details? May as well give their legal team a quick wake up, and I know just how. The wonders of Karma.

For god's sake, I certainly hope they won't be "writing" for TV. I can take stomach about one paragraph of that "English" before I have to put it down. Nothing worse than reading something that is supposedly written in your native English, oh yes there is, listening to someone trying to speak your native language, and doing it badly. Thai people must cringe when they hear me trying to speak to them in Thai. Sometimes I pretend I am deaf and cannot speak and they think - "Oh the poor stupid farang cannot talk, what a relief" then we just muddle our way through and when it's all over I say - "Kob jai lai lai" and they think "WTF" in Thai, and they think - "This idiot must be from Laos or somewhere weird like that". If I ever get to meet rubl I am going to pretend I am Vietnamese and just gibber to him in my best "tiếng Việt".

Certainly seems to be some concern in the other place from the Thai bashers and Thai government critics, 99% of whom are actually ex-pats who delight in telling the locals where they're wrong and what wonderful countries those critical ex pats themselves left. Another point raised concerning The Nation link was where are the servers based and who might have access to all names, I P addresses etc ? Now due to this link up do or will the mods and the ''newshound'' need work permits etc? Oh dear me, I think there may well be some quivering nervous sphincters in the other places mod room at the moment.

A few years ago this troll moron harassed me on the forum and kept getting his comments removed so he sent me a threatening pm and said that I was one of George's "bum buddies". So just for a laugh I forwarded it to the mods with att' George on it. Troll got banned and I received a pm supposedly from George thanking me for reporting this animal. I thought it was funny at the time.
