Sorry julia, you missed the heavy irony. Others thought they could speak for you, i did not. Note the reference to fat drunks. Was that a reference to you? No, Julia, not me belittling you. Quite the opposite. So here we go again, of others not being able to read between the lines. I respect all sexes and have no desire to defend you, you are quite capable of stating your opinion, regardless of your sexual orientation. I have no difficulty in speaking up for myself-I have done it all my life. However, I don't have an issue with people who know me on here a little better than you do, coming in to bat for me. I do not bat for you, do not bat an eyelid. Keep speaking up for yourself. Is that batting for you. Perhaps. In that i support your right to speak your mind even if you did miss my sarcasm. |

My point, as it seems it was missed, was that certain women , no all, women politicians are in part judged by their looks. Ugly men politicians do not have that handicap imposed.
Hence the heavy irony.
Does that clarify?

Back again (sober).
Some years back i worked for a woman. Yes in Bangkok.
We hit it off on first meeting. She had the money and i the skills.
No nothing of attraction physically. Now i am not being disrespectful,she was rather ugly. Of no consequence, we were a business partnership. I am sure she was not attracted to me that way either. We could work together and that was all it was about. I ran the company, she financed it.We made money.Sometimes we disagreed on the direction of contracts.Usually it was left to me to decide. Then the one time she went ahead against my opinion. She lost millions. Never happened again.
I eventually left, my own reasons, nothing of conflict between us. Just had lost my desire to carry on. She survived, a business woman, found someone else to take over. We remained friends.
