A Very Private Network? Perhaps it is not as private as one thinks, more so the free V P N's it would seem. So if doing a bit of trolling or trying to conceal your visits to Percy Perverts Dens of InequityFemale whip smiley you may not be as anonymous and hidden as you think. Spend a penny or two though and you might and it is only might be safe. I gave up on Hola a long time back. At the times I wish to use a proxy I find TOR does for me or Browsec.

Shoddy, confused article.
Two completely different issues:
(1) A traditional VPN provider (providing a point to point service) may log your transactions. However, only the site visited is loggable, not the individual pages since that information is encrypted. However, most VPN providers state that they do no logging whatsoever.
(2) Free Hola is not a traditional VPN. (I wouldn't consider it a VPN at all.) It's a distributed system whereby your traffic is routed via the web browser of PC users located in the country which you wish to appear to be from. Hola (probably) doesn't know which sites you have visited and (probably) can't log them. It's akin to bittorrent where there's no need for a central server, working on a peer-to-peer basis. So, if somebody in, say Germany, wanted to appear to be in Thailand their browser traffic could be routed through your webbrowser, so when Herr Pervert visits "Percy Perverts Dens of Inequity" your Thai ISP will perceive it as you visiting that site.
Whilst the prosecution of individuals based upon the user's IP address logged by the ISP has always been highly dubious, the introduction of Hola and similar systems has made it more so, and will doubtless throw up legal challenges.

So pleased to see you are now an internet / I T guru as well as a medical guru.
Somehow I'd rather take on-board that which an I T professional said and posted on an I T professionals site as opposed to your, ''Google is your friend,''comments.

So pleased to see you are now an internet / I T guru as well as a medical guru. Yup. I was IT manager/director for a Japanese and Saudi investment banks for most of my working career. Also latterly worked as IT consultant to major European investment banks in Germany and Luxembourg as well as London. (Medical research doesn't pay much and lacks job security. My research included computer modelling, so it wasn't that difficult a transition.) I guess it must gall you that some people are highly intelligent and have expertise in more than one field. Just be grateful that I'm happy to mix here with the little people and share my wisdom.

As for IT, well never been a manager, always a hands-on guy. Systems, Communication, Networking, Security. Mostly at banks, so I see nothing, know nothing and have no idea what you're talking about.

I, and others here indeed appreciate your social interaction, it provides much mirth and merriment to us and no doubt our lurkers too' 'Tis indeed gratifying to see the ancient craft and the English language in its traditional format of the Court Jester being preserved and even better still being practised by such a superior member of society as your happy gay self sire, thus providing all we peasants who read your comments with a gay old time. Indeed we are indebted to you for letting us actually mix in your exalted Company. Gall me? Perhaps you would do well to see the definition of ''GALL'' Gall. bold, impudent behaviour. "the bank had the gall to demand a fee"synonyms: effrontery, impudence, impertinence, cheek, cheekiness, insolence, audacity, temerity, presumption, cockiness, nerve, shamelessness, disrespect, bad manners Computer modelling eh. Upon my soul, just found your old employing company logo.

"the bank had the gall to demand a fee"If I had used "gall" as a noun, that indeed would be the definition. However, and you appear to have missed the point, I used it as a verb, in which case it has the meaning "to make someone feel annoyed" as in "I think it galls him to take orders from a younger and less experienced colleague." (Definition and example from the Cambridge Advanced Learner's Dictionary.)

And yet, for all that awe inspiring experience, your biggest claim to fame is getting under peoples' skin and hanging shite on Muslims. Oh, and it's a shame you didn't pick up a bit of humility along the way, with all those other skills. But in saying that, I suppose we should be grateful he is even willing to mix with us "little people". And I thought the Tulip Salesman was hard to deal with when it came to IT advice ! (Cue : AyG telling me he was joking and I should get a sense of humour)

Aha now another third string to the bow.
Linguistic expert. Is there no end to your genius and talent.
If (However perhaps the last line in the piece below may be a misnomer )
If you can keep your head when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you, If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, But make allowance for their doubting too; If you can wait and not be tired by waiting, Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies, Or being hated, don’t give way to hating, And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise:
If you can dream—and not make dreams your master; If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim; If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster And treat those two impostors just the same; If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools, Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken, And stoop and build ’em up with worn-out tools:
If you can make one heap of all your winnings And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss, And lose, and start again at your beginnings And never breathe a word about your loss; If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew To serve your turn long after they are gone, And so hold on when there is nothing in you Except the Will which says to them: ‘Hold on!’
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, Or walk with Kings—nor lose the common touch, If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you, If all men count with you, but none too much; If you can fill the unforgiving minute With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run, Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it, And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!

Linguistic expert. Is there no end to your genius and talent. If you think knowing the difference between a noun and a verb makes someone a "linguistic expert", then you have seriously low horizons.

But was it not you that made the final comment as to the linguistic usage, which funnily enough was quoted from a dictionary as opposed from your self acknowledged superior mind(s) usage?
Methinks you do not have a low horizon but in truth you actually seem to be grounded. Never mind dear, take an Aspirin and lie down you'll soon feel better.
Console yourself with the though that, ''Some enjoy having greatness thrust upon them, while others enjoy having greatness thrust up them.
