OK, OK, let's rephase English British attacks on non-British people who do not show the 'humility' one (some?) expect to be shown towards those blasted brexit English. In my 'humble' opinion as non-Brit, if I may. Please have some cake and eat it As much as I love you, Rubl, and yes, I do. You enjoy needling the British contingent here with a selective reading of history and reality. The problem you have is that some of us do know the history, and do appreciate your part in The Glorious Revolution. However, any kudos earned there have been overturned by many subsequent events that spilled British blood on your country's behalf. Never mind the Napoleonic Wars, where he annexed your lands, or Hitler. It took a combination of British, Commonwealth, Chinese and most importantly, American forces, to free your enslaved children and womenfolk in the Eastern Theatre. I was in the company of men who fought in that theatre in February. Not living memory, but living. How do you think they are reacting to the threats of retribution from Europe? You are very good at picking out the pieces which please you. The problem at hand is a Britain leaving the E.U. and still demanding that the E.U. provides all benefits as if nothing had happened. So take your cup of coffee, have some cake and enjoy it. PS I recently stumbled over a pile of historical novels by Nigel Tranter. A fellow born in Glasgow, educated in Edinburgh and who wrote many historical novels about Middle Age Scotland, apart from a multi volume work on 600 castles in Scotland. I guess I should find some time to read the stash to try to get a better understanding of our Scottish members.

As far as I can see they want a clean break.

There must be something in it for the Brits to make stepping out of the E.U. important and there should be consequences. I mean, if all will be as before why brexit? So, Gibraltar as British Oversea Territory may have a very nice new Major, but it will soon be outside the E.U. with a real border. Unless the oversea British Government manages to include such territories in trade deals. Certainly 'free flow of people' is against the brexit principle?

From what I remember of Gib, it will hurt the Spaniards that flood across the border everyday to work in Gib more than it will hurt the residents. Close the border and revert back to the way it was a few years ago. Thats if the Spanish can actually afford to manage a border mickey mouse outpost, or will they going running cap in hand to Brussels for a handout. The same Brussels that seems unable to mount a Euro Navy to stop the flow of immigrants from Libya.

As for European Navy, you mean the European Navies, excluding The British Fleet ? BTW the time one could just shoot at and sink some boats with natives went out of fashion a century or so ago

^^^ European Navies, or navvies? I am sure the european navies will do just fine without us. BTW, nothing to stop these people smuggling boats being sunk in their port of origin, no doubt the European army/armies can take care of that simple task. Hows that Euro Army coming along?

The French Secret Service sunk the Rainbow Warrior in NZ in 1985 but that wasn't a real success. That probably means sinking smuggling boats in foreign countries ports is also frown upon by busybodies like the ECJ, UN, USA, UK, etc., etc. So, the boats in Gibraltar harbour are safe

A clip worth viewing concerning Brexit and the lessons of European history being refreshed and driven home to the E U cabal of dictators.

Steven Woolfe, Independent UKIP-er, charmed by the Tories and Theresa May, forgetful at times and even attacked by fellow MEPs in the European Parliament.
So, Gibraltar British Oversea Territory and following Britain out of the E.U. Border may be a question as with the one in Ireland. All parts of the 'brexit' decision. Leaving the E.U. has effects otherwise Britain wouldn't leave, now would she ?
