Part of the rural lifestyle in the 1950-1960 era for all. Oakley hunt memeber occasional rides with Whaddon Chase Hunt, The Quorn as well as the Pytchley Hunt.Very few foxes caught but a bloody good days ride. All in the past some 50 years since.

I have written before of working with Ronnie Barker. Hilarious, non stop. Also very humble, no super star airs. Straight forward and extremely clever. A character i am glad to have met. Oh that bloody night when he rehearsed till 3 am. The apology next day. No, not just walk out and do it. Meticulous. |

Next afternoon, yes we all needed some sleep, a card, hand made by Ronnie Barker. Yes he went back to his hotel room and made a card. How much that was appreciated.
Not an ordinary card, a band aid stuck over bleeding fingers.

I have no idea of what possessed Toad to delete my posts. I am usually controversial , but those posts were not political, vulgar and contained nothing offensive to my mind. I am very careful when posting. I was hitting out at that which i regarded as offensive. Thanks for the support. Controversial how? We don't know what you are talking about most of the time |
