I have a Samsung Mega 5.8 inch. Cost around 11k. Thought it looked better value for money than the Samsung 5/6 etc which is almost double the price. specphone.com/Samsung-Galaxy-Mega-5.8.htmlLove the bigger screen, compared to iPhone, which makes it easier to read, especially Thai text, email and web-surfing. Would probably get the bigger 6.3 inch next time. Was just worried it might be too big after switching from IPhone so went for 5.8", but it wasn't too big. Great on the eyes. Does the key stuff: big screen, plenty room for apps, dual SIM which was useful abroad in Asia, stuck in a small SD card and photos are saved to there, phone calls, Line, email etc. I'm sure Samsung 5/6 are better phones, faster speed etc, but probably just has a lot of gimmicks I'd hardly use, as this model covers me. Was strange initially switching from IPhone, but now much prefer the bigger screen. Would do same again. Not buy the top end ranges at 20k+ but go for this mid-range better vfm. Had it 2 years, and when it comes time to change the kids can have it, as they say it's like a little iPad Cheers Fletch  Given most of us use them to mess around on the net....use text messaging and oh yeah make phone calls and take pics just how quick or super duper does the camera need to be or the memory? |

Yes as you say, I think a lot of people have more storage and camera than they probably need. Mine has a front and back camera, so you can get them mixed up Main one I think is 8 mega pixel, and the other one 1.9. The main camera seems fine for what I use it for - quick snaps. On storage it is 8 Gb which seems fine: 2.6 Gb system memory to run it, 3 Gb with stuff stored and 2.4 free. Seems plenty for me. Key was to stick in an SD card and put the setting on there that all pics and vdo's saved to it instead of phone, as they seem to be the big users. So two fat ladies fine for me: 8 GB memory + 8 Megapixels camera |
