Shocking and such news just when 7-11 started their stamp issuing again "The Shockingly Harmful Effects of Instant Ramen Noodles Yes, you know that instant ramen isn't good for you, but studies have confirmed just how harmful the prepackaged food can really be. A study in the Journal of Nutrition links instant noodle consumption with heart risk, particularly in women. The researchers conducted a study in South Korea, where consumption of instant noodles is the highest in the world, with more than 10,700 people ranging in age from 19 to 64. The results? "Women who consume instant noodles frequently were found to be more likely to have metabolic syndrome - the group of risk factors, including obesity and high blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar, that increase the risk of heart disease and diabetes."" www.yahoo.com/style/shockingly-harmful-effects-instant-ramen-155000751.html

A while back I was inspecting some machinery at a rendering plant and the supervisor showed me a few pallets of "meat patties" from a well known chain that was out of date and sent for processing. The pallets were oozing green slime yet odorless. Not like it was breaking down naturally. How this stuff is fit for human consumption is beyond me.

I would go back to my daily afternoon instant ramen snack if all the remaining flavors didn't simply taste like chemicals.
Maa-maa black pepper roasted pork flavor (in the coppertone foil package) was the last one I could eat before they discontinued it. Now it's just shelves and shelves of shiit.

It's certainly not a health food, but unfortunately most of what most people eat is awful for you. :- (
Most major diseases can be prevented or greatly decreased by switching to a plant-based diet.
That said, I don't recommend veganism. In the end it made me very sick until I quit. I don't doubt that it may work well for some other people.

I had a hell of a job stopping my daughter eating them straight from the packet dry. She liked them that way, I was always scared they would tear her throat or stomach lining.
