For the life of me, I cant understand the mind set.
Yes it was refreshing to see nice open attacking football, but surely its all about being in the Premiership, With a quick change of tactics I think Sam could have pulled it off, especially when I watch dross like Hull and the overpaid journeymen primma donnas at QPR.
Was the ginger mourhino right or wrong?

Yes having football philosophies is nice, and great for long term. Managers need to be able to switch to plan B, plan C and so on when needed, and points to stay in the Premiership are more crucial than being seen to play nicely. That was always why Big Sam was well appreciated at Bolton. Yes fans would have loved to watch the most exciting, open play football around. But with Bolton's resources that just wasn't realistic week in week out. So he used to develop game plans for each match, and how to rattle the big teams like Arsenal in particular, also ManU. Shame to see Burnley go. They actually had 10 or 11 clean sheets - one of the highest. Brendan Rogers is another at Liverpool. Doing a good job of rebuilding for the future at Liverpool, with a good philosophy, but can't seem to switch tactics when a change is needed, which is why they finished outside top4 at the other end. Cheers Fletch
