Do dogs think the earth is flat?
Have any of them ever pondered on what's at the edge?
Heres an interesting video about dogs you may like OPH

Sure they do, depends on the breed and disposition.

But if they nag too much you can put them down....try that with the human ones.

Why do dogs wag their tails? Good question when you get right down to it. We know they wag em when they're happy. Some wag em when they're angry...note: a wagging tail doesn't always mean a dog is friendly. What does the direction of the wag mean? What does it mean if the dog wags its tail in a circular motion? Ever have your dog place its tail on you sort of like a hug? Here's an interesting article from The Dodo website with some info on why dogs wag their tails....enjoy the read..... www.thedodo.com/why-a-dogs-tail-wags-and-why-you-shouldnt-cut-it-off-1211071411.html?ncid=newsltushpmg00000003Though according to the article mans and dogs aren't too different...

^^^ You're right CC...we did have tails one time. That's why we have a "tail bone" which we can feel even though it's only a nub of sorts. We can't "wag" it though but we can shake our asses from side to side and all around...hah!

Why are dogs a man's best friend? I had a friend in the Army back during the war who was pure Commanche Indian. He always noticed that I had a "way" with animals not many people are known to have. While out on a patrol one evening we got to softly talking about this apparent "gift" I had and he told me a story about Man & Dog & how they got together. Yes...there is scientific study which states that early man & dog interactions came about as a result of early dog following early man around and getting the scraps of meat left over after a successful hunt. That sounds plausable & is most likely true to some extent but I like Richard Running Bears explanation much better because it doesn't invoke the "G" word (God) and tosses science into the air. Richards version was kinda long but from memory here's a condensed passage....very condensed... A story told by some Native American peoples is that... The Great Spirit decided to divide the worlds of animals and man. He gathered all the living beings on a great plain and drew a line in the dirt. On one side of the line stood man and on the other side stood all of the animals of the earth. When that line began to open up into a great canyon and at the last moment before it became too great to cross, it was the dog that jumped over and stood by man." Some really good reads about Native Americans & dogs here... www.native-languages.org/legends-dogs.htm

Very nice about dogs.
Are you also aware of the phenomenon as to why canines smell other canines' nether regions when meeting? Seems there was a bar hundreds of years ago where dogs could go and emulate mankind, have a beer, watch some bitches take their fur off an generally have a good time. They had to leave their arses on the coat rack to get into this place, but every dog was up for it.
One night there was a fire and every dog grabbed his arse from the rack and ran out, to this day, they are still trying to find the right one in the mix up.

Another "thing" I find fascinating about dogs is why are dogs so interested in other dogs? Not just interested but down right hyper most of the time.
I can barely imagine if we were the same way......

Why are dogs a man's best friend? Consider, if you lock your wife and your dog in the cupboard under the stairs for a couple of hours, which one's going to be happy to see you when you finally open the door?
