Very eloquently put but I could counter that argument with Johnny's quote of "A dollar ain't made for a fellar I'm told, that scoops up a living loading coal'.

As it's a 'Johnny quote' there is nothing you can say to sway the argument back in your favour (or 'favor' for our Yankee speaking friends), any attempt would only result in you digging yourself deeper into a hole.
