It's another stinker here in Oz. I've got the aircon cranked down to 35'C already.

Did you know ... ... because of an 'e' which isn't even pronounced, oldie managed to avoid a wrangle with an alligator and that with the help of the confounded English, language that is. My dog and I already had a walk this morning otherwise we'd go out again to accost any lifeform we encounter.

I got lost with the silent "e's", and all the other works with more than two syllables.

Dutch is easy and has the advantage of giving you a certain edge. You would no longer need CM's advise, you'd be able to talk double Dutch without drinking

From the ongoing 'hearings'
"Djokovic’s legal team also claimed that their client poses a very low risk of transmission of the disease should he be allowed to enter the country officially.
They said his recent infection and the additional safety protocols around the Australian Open itself make it very unlikely he could be a problem from a public health point of view."
[uncleRubl] better safe than sorry, out!
"One of the judges suggests that rescinding Djokovic's visa could cause "overwhelming public discord and risks of transmission through very large public gatherings".
The state's lawyer counters by claiming that allowing "a high profile person who is in many respects a role model" to stay under the current circumstances posed a bigger risk."
[uncleRubl] The Land of Oz doesn't need this tennis star to cause public discord. It's perfectly capable to generate such on its own. Out!
PS IMHO of course

PS IMHO of course From what I can gather, with Dutch you just keep adding words together until you run out of room. So "milk" is "milk". A "carton of milk" becomes "cartonofmilk" A "truck full of cartons of milk" becomes a "truckfullofcartonsofmilk"

In my defence I was totally intoxicated at the time, which doesn't happen often. I expect you to work on your drinking, with more practice you'll build up a greater tolerance which will prevent such outbursts from happening in the first place, at least, not until you're truly hammered. Greater tolerance not guaranteed. Signed..... A Prime Example

Apropos of filling pages, the court in Oz has adjourned for FOUR hours now. I guess they're working on an official report / verdict and try to use two-syllable words only PLUS fill at least 50 or so pages. Afterall the public would surely demand such.

Nice weather. They're on the drink. A reluctant, soft knock on the door of the room the judges retired to. Another knock slightly louder. You can hear someone say 'bugger, wa's the mat'. "With all due respect judge, we're waiting for your verdict on the Novak Djokovic case regarding his visa / visa-withdrawal." 'Tell Djoka, Djoki, Djoko-something he's guilty of disturbing the peace. Three months van Diemensland will do him good."

Betty Stokerbitch finally got her marching orders.
She'll be leaving tonight..
If you visit Oldie, I only have one house rule. At 5 am you place your undergarments on your head, you go into the backyard and yell "fazuka, bazooka, bizarre".
I know it sounds silly, but it keeps the riff Raff out.
