I guess the former guy now realises that the Wall was a stupid idea from others (and never his of course). "Trump praises Putin's 'genius' incursion into Ukraine ... "This is genius," he said of Putin's decision on Monday to officially recognize the breakaway provinces and authorize the use of Russian military personnel to assist them. "So Putin is now saying it’s independent — a large section of Ukraine. I said, how smart is that? And he’s gonna go in and be a peacekeeper. We could use that on our southern border. That’s the strongest peace force I’ve ever seen. There were more army tanks than I’ve ever seen. They’re gonna keep peace, all right."" www.yahoo.com/news/trump-praises-putins-genius-incursion-into-ukraine-234001858.html

Going to be interesting to see how countries relying on Russian gas supplies act should supply services be restricted. Good job summer is coming.

Clearly Trump doesn't know the meaning of the word "genius" given that he described himself as a "very stable genius".
Here's Randy Rainbow's take on that:

The UK is not so reliant on Russian gas supplies unlike a number of European countries for their gas supplies.

'not so reliant' is relative. Prices in the UK have been on the rise and suppliers have gone bankrupt. It's a problem for many countries and argueing about 'but, but less mine' doesn't really make sense. From the previously quotes article "Russia supplies 10 per cent of the world’s oil, and 40 per cent of Europe’s gas." "How vulnerable are the UK’s gas supplies? The good news is that the UK imports barely any gas from Russia. It meets about half of its gas requirements from the North Sea, while another third is sourced from Norway. The rest is imported by pipelines connecting the UK to Europe, or in the form of liquefied natural gas (LNG), which is transported by tankers typically from Qatar or the US. The bad news? The UK’s gas sources could all becoming eye-wateringly expensive if markets in Europe soar. The UK’s market is closely connected to markets in Europe, so a price rise in Germany or the Netherlands would lead to higher prices in Britain." www.theguardian.com/business/2022/jan/24/how-vulnerable-is-uk-energy-system-as-tensions-rise-between-russia-and-ukraine
