TV ran the news story below. Thai Health Ministry calls for dengue fever countermeasures. www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/878594-thai-health-ministry-calls-for-dengue-fever-countermeasures/One poster took the time to check the story and found out that either TV or the news service changed Flu to Dengue. Well, of course the health ministry sound like fools recommending flu measures (avoid sick people and wash hands and wear a mask) to prevent Dengue. Instead of checking the story the TV News pros let the anti Thai brigade have a field day calling the Thai doctor stupid. So the poor doctor writes a story about flu and it gets changed to Dengue on Thai Visa and he is opened up to international ridicule.

I hope he finds out and sues them. The two guys who translated the article went to college in the US and Australia speak excellent English and have facebook pages. They'd be easy to contact.

Can you post the link here? I can't see it on my phone. www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/878594-thai-health-ministry-calls-for-dengue-fever-countermeasures/Real Headline and legitimate article (below from a post), Public Health Ministry calls for flu countermeasures. Public Health Minister Piyasakol Sakolsatayadorn revealed that between January and March of each year, an estimated 40,000 - 120,000 people suffer from influenza, of which approximately 200 die from the disease. He said his ministry has therefore asked for cooperation from related agencies such as the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Education and the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration in coordinating with all public health agencies in spotting new cases and implementing preventative measures. Dr Piyasakol advised the public to regularly wash their hands, avoid contact with the infected, as well as avoid congested areas. The article was about Flu not Dengue. A little better news editing would solve the problem. thainews.prd.go.th/website_en/news/news_detail/WNPBH5812140010007/12/20Information and Source Reporter : Jettana Pantana Rewriter : Benjamin Rujopakarn National News Bureau & Public Relations : thainews.prd.go.th

The whole issue proves that the other place is in opposition to anything Thai as are certain global moderators too.The site is starting to come under scrutiny by the authorities and if they are not careful they will be blocked or even shut down.

It's quite disgraceful really....stupidity wouldn't cover it.
An attempt at sensationalism by an idiot clearly.
