Not ashamed to say, there was almost a tear running down my cheek last night, yes even a cynical cold hearted tawat like me has a heart.
Well done the NHS and everyone who works there, the pride of the Uk and the envy of the world. Well done Justin B.
Its great to be a Brit, this is what makes our nation GREAT.

At last those who actually serve the public and give something unique in times of need get their recognition as opposed to self serving self enriching managers and his puppets.

When I read "They beat Justin Bieber" I thought, it's about time somebody gave the brat a sound thrashing. Sadly, it wasn't that sort of "beat".

At last those who actually serve the public and give something unique in times of need Except, did you notice how many of the people in the video were very suntanned. In many cases they aren't serving their own people, but serving the British, leaving third world countries deprived of skilled medical staff. And at the same time we aren't training enough British nurses. Headline a few days ago: "Nurse shortage hits dangerous levels in 90% of hospitals". www.theguardian.com/society/2015/dec/21/nurse-shortage-dangerous-90-of-hospitals

Meanwhile back at the farm the budget grows at a barely sustainable rate, as does the demands of the consumers. My sis is a human resources manager with the NHS, and she says that there are far too many vested interests. I was appalled to hear that the Doctors wanted their contracts doubled so that they would provide a seven day a week service - and that the unions weren't coming down stronger themselves on people abusing the sick leave system. The NHS is in a perfect storm - and yet it still functions so well. That borders on miraculous. And that miracle is founded on the back of the people that actually want to come to work.

If you watched them being interviewed on Sky, they all spoke with Brit accents. As for leaving third world countries, if the third world countries sorted out their own problems they wouldnt have a brain drain. Two examples I personally know of, Pinoy nurses, their country is a basket case, the only way for them to provide is by becoming an OFW, overseas foreign worker. Second Sth African nurses, same old stories about tribalism, cronyism and nepotism, but the number one complaint, corruption. I know the Free Nelson Mandela brigade wont want to hear this, but Zuma is running that country into the ground, and that came from Joyce a black Sth African nurse. She told my friend who married her, get any thoughts you may have about retiring there out your head becase its not going to happen.

Ove a third of NHS doctors were born abroad - Britain relies more heavily on foreign doctors than any other major EU nation, according to international research. More than a third of NHS doctors – 35 per cent – were born abroad, the report by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) has shown. The figure puts Britain ahead of every other country in the European Union except Luxembourg, and with a total three times that of Germany. Yet the UK is also one of the highest exporters of doctors, the report discloses. Critics attacked “revolving door” immigration policies which meant the UK has spent billions of pounds training medics who went abroad, only to rely on overseas labour to plug the gaps. The UK is also among the nations most dependent on foreign nurses, the report discloses. The figures cover the period 2001-02 to 2011-12. continues www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/12071030/More-than-a-third-of-NHS-doctors-born-abroad.html

Every single foreign hospital doctor or nurse (possibly minus one) that has treated me, were far more professional in their job than the doctors born in this country that have treated me.
The indian/pakistani looking doctors totally knowing their craft inside out and providing excellent treatment.
If there was a questionaire before treatment that said. "which ethnicity of doctor would you like to examine you?"
Indian/pakistani would be my vote every single time.
Unless I'm at the GUM clinic where "just send the ugliest person available" would be my reply.
