A picture of a raucous street in Manchester during New Year's Eve celebrations has gone viral after social media users turned it into a series of hilarious memes.
The original photograph - posted by Roland Hughes on Twitter - looks like a tableaux of drunkenness, with police grappling with a young man in the foreground while being shouted by a woman in a fur coat.
A group of youngsters gathers in the background on the chaotic Well Street, in front of a Superdry and Greggs, watching the turmoil while clutching takeaway boxes.
Meanwhile, an older man dressed all in blue lies splayed in the middle of the road, clutching a beer bottle in his outstretched hand while his T-shirt rides up over his exposed belly.

It's blocked for me but I am guessing it's about loutish behavior, right? To be honest, the Daily Mail likes to get up in arms about everything before irrationally claiming it will give you cancer or attract Muslims.I'm not keen on loud drunks, though. While I do enjoy drinking more than the good doc suggest from time to time I tend to go rather quiet when I am that far gone. Not condoning it's use or anything but I have been to raves where everyone is on ecstasy and there is no aggression or such nonsense. The Daily Mail doesn't care much for the stats that this little pill kills less than 100 a year while booze kills many thousands.
