Classic Thai in BKK post this morning. Thai authorities have built two MRT lines that miss each other by 1km so people have to walk or catch buses between. So thinking. What are famous constructions or other that you are glad the Thais didn't construct? www.bangkokpost.com/news/general/974125/purple-line-commuters-to-get-the-bluesPurple Line commuters to get the blues Plan overhaul has left our lauded transport system with a missing link In the next few months, people in Nonthaburi will be able to ride an electric train to Bangkok. But the bad news is their journey on the Purple Line will end at Tao Poon station, a kilometre away from the starting point of the Blue Line service which runs through the inner circle of the capital, such as Asok and Silom. Questions have been raised as to why there was no connection between the two lines in the first place. www.bangkokpost.com/news/general/974125/purple-line-commuters-to-get-the-blues

On the other opposite side one I wish they had built was the Eurotunnel. IT probably still wouldn't be finished yet and having two tunnels that didn't meet in the middle would have been highly popular for many French people.

They are seperate private projects. There is a link planned for the circle route but this is not due to be started for a long time. I believe infrastructure should be owned by the government to prevent this. There are other examples of fragmented transport infrastructure through the world.
