No effin peanuts.
What happened was I was on a flight to Poland today, and peanuts had not entered my mind, until the air steward made an announcement.
"We have a passenger on board who is allergic to peanuts, so this flight will be peanut free."
Then suddenly, I wanted peanuts more than I ever wanted them in my entire life. At 35,000 feet I craved them, dreamed of them in the same way as the mad squirrel in the movie, Ice Age.
But no - I was denied a fix of salted peanuts because some individual thinks that they are entitled to force their allergies on to me.
Shocking.

Well all i can say is, the increase jobsworthy HSE rules is directly proportional to the increase in stupid people in the nanny state countries who sue other people for their own fking stupidity |

Fair enough. If the person was that allergic and it happened mid flight , you'd be annoyed the plane had to emergency land.

Peanut allergy is a funny thing. For a small percentage (0.6% of he US population) peanuts are extremely poisonous. They cause a reaction that can lead to death with even a tiny amount of peanut. That means about 2 people on a 777 have it to some degree or other. Just because previous attacks have not been fatal does not mean that the one they may have on the plane will not be. Because the plane cabin is at an altitude of about 7000 ft the breathing restriction it causes will probably have a greater effect on the ground. Not sure banning peanuts totally is the way to go but something needs to be done.

Well if the attack is fatal we can just carry them off at the destination.
Anyway blether surely there is no champagne and cashew service on that route?

And the cravings disappeared the minute you landed.
I never eat vegemite but crave it in Isaan.

All schools in Australia now have banned peanuts completely. The peanut butter sandwiches for school lunch are a thing of the past.

Would a warhead packed with peanuts be a silly idea? It would mybe work best if dropped on the US....seems it is more prevalant there. Problem is it is kids more than adults though they will have it for life. |

Think about all the peanut dust getting circulated through the air-conditioning . The HEPA filters on planes are better than any you will get in ground buildings but not certain whether they stop the allergy or not. I guess President Carter and our old Joe Bjelke Pettersen who were both peanut farmers are good people to blame for it all |
