I spent a number of years and a lot of time''chatting'' with ''new age romantic creative thinkers." Personally though I never knowingly told them a lie, I admit to the use of innuendo and ambiguous comments along with suppositions.

Those tactics often had strange affects on the memory of those being chatted to and their powers of memory recall concerning matters that were the topic of our discussions were often amazing in their revelations from our original opening conversation.

The truth like a fact is much like an elastic band, very pliable and flexible in its interpretations. The contents of a mind, no matter how big or small the mind maybe, the creative conversation contents will always fill it.

Early Sophists were well respected but they soon became unpopular and were subject to much opposition and controversy due to their high fees and their radical challenges to convention. The only citizens who had the money to learn from the Sophists came from the aristocratic class, meaning that many citizens were unable to learn from them. Sophists were thought to teach these aristocrats how to manipulate the public by catering to popular opinion, rather than being concerned with the truth.
