A pregnant woman from the UK has been killed in a scooter accident in Thailand.

Sophie Emma Rose, 41, originally from Blackpool, died in the crash, said her boyfriend Danny Glass, who escaped serious injury.

He posted on Facebook he was "in total shock as I've lost the most precious person I had ever connected with".

The Foreign Office said it was supporting a British man hurt in a road traffic accident in Thalang, Phuket.

The motorbike had a windshield, that caused his injury. He arrived back in Yorkshire with one blue and one brown eye.

Having watched the video of the incident it was it seems a dreadful accident due to it would seem the motorcycle being in the wrong lane and making a traffic move of some sort.

The trailer it seems was the vehicle that went over the female and killed her. I certainly think that the truck driver was unaware of the incident and in fact the truck as such did not hit the motorcycle.

If you look at the top right of the clip around 0-33 you can see what happens.
