They can shove it.
After being offered a deal where the seller ended an auction to deal outside of ebay with me , I then recieved an email saying my account is temporarily suspended after they'd read the private message!
Ebay sent me an email copy of the message.
The seller hasn't been suspended ffs , just me.
That's bs , firstly because it was the seller who initiated dealing outside of ebay , secondly because they weren't suspended and my guess because the seller owes ebay money so they won't risk loosing that
And thirdly , because Ebay read private messages!!
Gross breach of privacy that is.
So shove it Ebay. I won't ever be back.

eBay in common with many other websites, has a filter that detects email addresses being exchanged.
In effect, you and the seller conspired to defraud eBay of money by agreeing to the transaction off-site.
So your OP should read -
"I was caught trying to defraud eBay and they suspended my account."

the fleshlight. No the package arrived. Its a rare coin. A 1966 Australian 20 cent piece. Anyway, after my complaint to ebay they sent me an email saying it now wasn't the reason why they suspended my account! It's not what the first email said. It then went onto say I need to call ebay to verify myself. I think thats odd. Here's part of their email to me.

Agreed entirely. I have totally stopped selling items on Ebay after 20 years. New rules makes scams inevitable. Not allowing sellers to leave feedback for non paying buyers is insane. But it's a great place to shop as a buyer, a few times a seller sent me the wrong item and ignored emails after or worse sent abusive nonsense and threats and then you just take a refund on Paypal and keep the item gratis. Wonderful.
Last year I sent a few hundred $ item to a winning bidder in the USA. It was a heavy item and postage was 5000baht, I told him it would take a while from Thailand to the US and he agreed, its fine I really need this item, I understand Thailand is far away etc etc. So got it shipped off and about 2 days later the buyer opened a claim against me saying the item was late arriving! After messaging Ebay they said a good compromise would be to wait a week and if it still hadnt arrived then I must refund the buyer which is exactly what happened. So this dishonest buyer got a free item, I paid 5000B to ship it to him, and I got neg feedback for supposedly slow shipping. Ebay ignored my emails about this issue. End of this story is I (quite easily) found this buyers business address - turns out he owned a smallish business and had many reviews online and a little suggestion about how a few -ve feedbacks on his own business might not be in his interest and he paypalled my $150 and we left it there. I was lucky to get anything - Paypal were completely on this buyers side.

A week after that my vinyl turned up. Besides refunds , which is the PayPal beauty , they suck too much in fees.
