Been using Brave since it came upon the scene a short while back and I've found it a great alternative browser, needs a bit of getting used to, but once you've mastered the controls it works well.
Still a toddler browser wise and not likely to replace Chrome as yet but worth a look if you like to play with what I think is an interesting new gizmo.

"The launch of Brave as the browser that blocks ads is not actually accurate. There would be no point in releasing such an application, especially by someone who used to be the CEO of Mozilla. The distinction is made right from the start by Brendan himself, who says that this browser aims to block all but the trackerless ads, and that's a really big difference. Brave will be built to provide its own spaces and ads, so it's not like users will no longer see ads inside webpages. The browser will display these ads as being a part of the page, in a more native way. With this method, it won't affect the performance of the application, at least in theory." news.softpedia.com/news/bravo-internet-browser-blocks-regular-ads-and-replaces-them-with-its-own-499180.shtml

I also find people interfering with my pages to include adds in the content as vandals and, though I can agree to limited safe adds displayed in a way they do not interere with a page and appear as ads this is not acceptable.

For many years I would use nothing but Firefox. The garbage Microsoft dared to call a browser was a joke and crashed every time I tried using it. Then about 18 months ago Firefox kept freezing on me, I tried everything, updated it, wiped it and re-downloaded it, just kept crashing. Went to Chrome and have not had a problem with it except for one time I had some ridiculous number of tabs going at once and it froze. Will stick with Chrome while it is working.

The part on 'brave' I'm wondering about is "Brave will be built to provide its own spaces and ads .... display these ads as being a part of the page, in a more native way."
seems like swapping 'bad' for 'friendly bad' only
