Wow, know exactly where that place is, almost bought a house there years ago, there is a moo baan right beside it. Mrs said no way, too near to family. Best of luck to him, remember years ago there was a place at the top of Suk soi 71, New York Pizza or something like that, beer joint. Great little place, used to see the two week millionaires and their "catch" heading off into town to pay her bar fine, thinking to myself, you have everything you need right here, NON RIPP OFF PRICES, great service. The mrs gets all nostalgic about that part of town, where she was born and grew up etc etc, she doesnt recognise it anymore. Prakhanong market no more. Prakhanong cinema no more. Dino snooker room no more. The factory she worked at at the Klong Tan end, no more, being torn down to make way for yet another condo. The heart and soul ripped out of a community. Can't believe what's going on ! The amount of condos going up around the place, Suk 93 market area ripped to shreds. Even using my soi on Phattanakan 44 as a cut through now to On nut, used to be a nice little quiet soi. Had a policeman directing traffic today, because of the road works and counted at least 8 new high end housing complexes on the new short cut. |

Apparently the bar was 2 townhouses combined and they have 5 floors - 6 floors including the roof |

Fletch, can you confirm if Grumpy’s Grill is adorned with an abundance of framed pictures of Derek Dougan, Kenny Hibbitt and Steve Bull or does Brian plan to make a serious go of this bar?
