I read today that 'Corporate earners care nothing for poor working conditions and wages of shop floor staff anywhere'.
Is this true do you think?
Personally I earn considerably more than the cleaners but same less than the GM...but I doubt I would base my opinion of someone upon their income level.
What are your opinions on this?

Care but being unable to do much about it. Still, treating everyone equal. Mind you that does seem to upset some who think they're better and everyone should know that.

Care, the cleaners and security staff at my school barely makes 100USD a month- life is tough, no doubt about that. There is little I can do about it as an expat, kinda frustrating. I judge people on who well or badly they treat others.

Don't care.
Poverty is essential for progress, and in all my life, some of the best parents I have seen have encouraged their kids to rise above.
There is only one poverty worth talking about, and that is the poverty of choice.
I believe we should double the education budget, way too many kids are coming out of school in hopeless situations.

I socialise with people who follow the road less travelled, people of differing ages, backgrounds, professions and nationalities, heck some of the guys I dont even know what their job is, money is rarely mentioned, we may not all agree on every subject, but the one thing we all agree on is personal responsibility. The Somchais I socialise with all share one common trait, they dont subscribe to the, sabai sabai mai pen rai tomorrow never comes attitude. They believe in educating their children to the best of their means and saving money for a rainy day. So basically I agree with you, its not income that I base my opinion on, but attitude. My circle of friends doesnt include, freeloaders, professional victims, negative thinkers or losers. If that makes me a snob or social elitist I dont give a ferk.

First highlighted, agree 101%, and dont blame me for your poor choices. Second, disagree, I blame Labour and their, no kid left behind policy, offering false hope to the masses. Instead of leaving school at 16/18 with qualifications and no jobs, we now have kids leaving Uni at 21/22 with qualifications and no jobs. We now have a bunch of educated idiots with degrees that arent worth the paper they are written on, lofty subjects such as media studies, or humanitarian studies spring to mind. Worthless, get a proper degree in medecine, engineering or dentistry, or are those subjects too difficult or you cant be bothered putting the effort in. Call me old fashioned, but IMO, you get out of life what you put into it.

We shouldn't have abandoned the Eleven Plus. Way too many kids coming with worthless degrees as you said. Not enough builders and engineers.
