Adam West, who starred as Batman in the 1960s television series, has died at the age of 88, according to his family. “Our dad always saw himself as The Bright Knight and aspired to make a positive impact on his fans' lives. He was and always will be our hero,” they said in a statement published by The Hollywood Reporter. He died on Friday in Los Angeles after a brief battle with leukaemia. West achieved global fame when he was cast as the caped crusade. The series debuted in 1966 but ran for only three seasons before it was cancelled by ABC. www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/06/10/adam-west-tvs-batman-dies-age-88/

^ They didn't play that when I saw them, otherwise I am sure I would have remembered it ! Sad to hear of "Batman's" demise, but he had a good innings and I am sure he led a good life.
