"I'll get you in the end. It might take me months, maybe even years, but I'll get you."
The joy of The Chase. Often the journey is better than the destination, but that's okay. Move on to the next chase.
And sometimes a fractious chase is a good thing. Took me ages and a few fallouts to capture The Hurricane. She was worth it.
You can't beat a good Chase.

^^^ Clarissa, often regarded as the first English novel, or soap opera . Extremely long and for a modern reader daunting. Had to read it at university, alas no Spark Notes then.
An eye opener though as to social norms of the time and indeed of all times.
Lovelace an arch villain, libertine, but one cannot help but sympathise with him.Clarissa so virtuous and foolish, but she has our sympathy too.
The vogue for "Sense and Sensibility" explored later by Jane Austin.
Thanks for the memory.

You cant beat a good, you have pulled and you dont even know it. Was sat on the terrace outside The Landmark years ago, some farang stunner asks if this seat is free, chatted away for a good few hours about nothing. She excused herself to go to the rest room, never saw her again. Dek serv came to the table, told me the bill had been paid and handed me a name card, written on the back was, "call me"

"I'll get you in the end. It might take me months, maybe even years, but I'll get you." Is this an inner thought or one of your chat up lines?

I had a Clarissa once. That's a tale. She wanted me, but knew me. I stood off, even in my own bed. Then the slander, but all laughed. You want to mess? He cares not a F.., but has respect. "You do not want then neither do i,". So come on tell me.
I have never disrespected another knowingly.
