I think it's on a downward trend to 38 and will hold there, probably for most of our lifetimes, because I simply cannot see how the UK really sorts this monstrosity of a debt mountain out. But then I'm usually wrong. Where's Naam? We need Naam to give us vague cryptic clues to confuse us even more. Naam's forex forecasts are aftercasts. he only casts on things pertaining to the past. Naam, should I go for a four pack of Aldi's own brand beans or push the boat out and go for Heinz?

Until interest rates go up in the UK, nothing will change. What is libor? 0.5.%?
They need money turning in the UK to pay the lovely inherited deficit. Income taxes down but vat up. That's all they can do. Just look at the pension reform. Craziness.
The minute they raise interest rates there will be so many house owners under water in the UK they dare not do it.
Labor are toast without Scotland. Coalition to continue with weakening pound I reckon. 45 looms on the horizon.

Yup. No inflation. Everyone chasing bargains on eBay and Amazon. Who would be a high street retailer. No one pays list price for anything anymore.

No inflation...until you realise you pay the same for less...smaller boxes of cornflakes but they still cost the same...I think the whole inflation story is a lie if you listen to the central bankers. the fact is CPI and RPI do not represent the real cost of living changes, certainly not if you calculate the cost of living of the same quality of life....like not substituting sirloin beef for sawdust steaks and claiming no change in price even though sirloin may have become totally unaffordable.

Where in the UK can you get Cod or Plaice and chips anymore? They only sell Fish and chips and when you ask what fish it is they look at you stupid.

If that does happen the country is finished.
Found it amusing that the AMERICAN adviser Millipede has actually pays no U.K. tax on the 300,000 pounds he picks up.
Now Millipede and the Rest of the political pest crowd can you explain why the Labour Party uses an American expert (spin doctor) to advise it on its election strategy?
