GBP has risen sharply today on UK jobs data it's currently trading at over $1.50 this should present a good short selling opportunity if GBP fails to breakout of it's resistance level. I can't see the UK being the first country to raise interest rate so higher GBP rates should not be sustainable especially with the General Election looming.

Remember those adverts ''come home to a living coal fire,'' and the Welsh Nationalists interpretation of that slogan?

Sterling looked good this morning TT rate just over 49. Where would a new forum be without a few "where is GBP going" topics.

Tomorrow - Tuesday UK GDP are to be released so we'll either see a breakout or a downturn.

A new TNS poll has SNP at 54% and Labour at 22 - forecast now is 57 SNP MP's, one Half-Wit Party and one Bandwagon Party - and the Eton Brigade booted out of Scotland.
I'm disappointed - I didn't want the half-wit's to save even one seat.

On Sunday only the SNP had a booth....and of course it was great fun...lots of people asking questions and none of the Tory tactics of handing out free pens. I'm sure there are rules about this kind of thing......anyway....

It cracked me up during the referendum, people unfriending people then lying about why.
A lot of true colours came shining through.
Anyway - to me 70 baht won't return as it was a fluke. The interesting thing is that those who arrived when it was 70 budgeted on that then started wailing like cats on heat when the baht dropped back to normal levels.
Meanwhile, those that arrived when the baht was low wonder what all the fuss was about. To me, I didn't like the 43/44 level we had recently as it was making many things in Thailand way more expensive than in the UK.
I'd be terrified if I were on a fixed British pension - as you would get battered from both sides - currency fluctuation and relentless inflation. The days of British state pensioner in Thailand are coming to an end.

I was thinkin'. If the Scottish nationalists and the Cornish nationalists got together, they could build a funicular railway between the two countries.
