I'd just buy a new sprinkler. 760 baht, x 13 sprinklers, x twice yearly, vs 69 baht, hmmm......! Now if you would have said to concrete the garden and paint it green, that might work, or even astro turf perhaps.

I'd just buy a new sprinkler. Good thing he did not get suckered into using rust converter...he never would have got water flowing

Our house has an automatic popup sprinkler system. I gave up on it and just move the hise around now. Its more enjoyable.

You're doing it wrong then. Change to plastic . Been there done that, the plastic ones don't last long plus their throw and flow is extremely limited. With the larger metal ones I can get great flow plus their reach is about fifteen metres or more, depending on how they're set. I've got about three quarters of a rai of gardens and the sprinkler configuration I have currently covers it all. The key to a decent sprinkler system is to have a 2 inch pickup and a two inch bearer pipe or backbone, off of that you can feed a series of one inch sprinkler pipes which then reduce to half or three quarters at the sprinkler head. That gives excellent flow and allows half a dozen heads to be fed simultaneously and pushes a shed load of water through the heads - it kinda defeats the objective if you do all that and then reduce down to a half inch plastic head that doesn't permit a decent output flow.

The sprinkler head you see on the tripod in your link is what I have fixed at thirteen different points, almost exactly the same head unit but 3/4 inch, it's those devices that I've just cleaned.
