Part 2
This trip was nicer than the first, because of the lodging and the area/s visited.
Of course a lot our time was spent in the murky water. We had planned at least 4 different dives and decided not to schedule any more dives based on the visibility/conditions.
Some pictures of a wreck and some fish:

Second or third hand story I was told about Airbnb’s on the island. We had met some divers (one lived on the island) for dinner and were told that there were about 8 old original fishing families still on the island who managed/controlled a lot of the resorts and they didn’t appreciate Airbnb. But still,……..the Airbnb’s are there and seem to offer something the resorts don’t. Privacy/entire home/full kitchens/great views/no other guests
Our place.......
Couple sites we were able to visit that we didn’t last time. We were at the Blue Heaven restaurant that overlooks Hin Ngam Bay. I want to go swimming in it the next time we visit. It is beautiful.
If you do have a chance to visit Koh Tao you should definitely visit Koh Nang Yuan Island (just a 15-20 minute boat ride to the islands and part of the Angthong National Marine Park):
www.adventureinyou.com/thailand/koh-nang-yuan-island-everything-need-to-know/A beautiful set of small islands.
If you do visit and decide to eat (good food) while visiting the set of islands don't order anything outside the simple meals they sell/serve. If you do, you might be waiting up to an hour for your meal. They prepare those meals in the main resort's kitchen.
On the way back to Bangkok we stopped off in Koh Samui and spent a couple nights at The Library. Nice place. The accommodations/facilities/food/staff are great.:
