I was looking for something in my "junk drawer" today, and in the process, I decided it would be a good time to sort out the growing mass of Asian currency I had that was building up in there.
Mind you, I live in a brand new building. I've had no evidence of mice or any other type of domestic nuisance that might have gotten into the junk drawer. As I was sorting out the bank notes by country, I noticed something odd about the 3 or 4 Thail Baht bills in there. They were falling apart. Crumbling. It looked like they'd been chewed upon, something none of the other nation's money was showing. I ended up throwing away some of the money, but here's a picture of a couple of the notes next their counterparts. What's going on here? Why is the Baht disintegrating?
