Although some may like to take the Holy Bible a bit literal, there have been some doubts. “Bronze Age DNA calls famous biblical slaughter into question According to the Hebrew Bible, things didn’t turn out well for the Canaanites. The Israelites arrived in their territory following their exodus from Egypt, toppled the walls of Jericho by blasting their horns and trumpets, and “utterly destroyed all that was in the city”. The ancient text suggests that widespread destruction of other Canaanite settlements followed. But the Canaanites weren’t annihilated – their DNA has now been found in the population of modern-day Lebanon. ... “There’s evidence for substantial continuity in the region from the Bronze Age to today,” ... I have been informed by a reliable theatrical archaeologist that evidence has been discovered in an ancient auditorium that the ''The Battle of Jericho'' was a one off popular musical extravaganza of the time as opposed to military violence.
Ringside seats were a shekel a go kids half price no reruns of the performance were to be seen. A once only event presented by Joshua Goldstein enterprises.
Two modern(ish) cover versions of the opening ditty are shown below.

Rumour has it that afterwards people sued the pants of Joshua. At least a dozen clear violations against law and order. Least of all the incredible noise which kept me awake at the time

Does that mean I'm not allowed to dislike any of them?
