I have that Thai lèse majesté laws prohibit the criticism of any royalty, Thai or foreign. To suggest that any king might be mad (whether true or not) is probably illegal here.

AyG you are indeed correct, however as the film is in the public domain and hasn't been complained about no big problems. Mind you if it featured a young Yul Bryner, and foreign teachers etc, well, it might be a different issue!!!  |

Would that be OK? |

There are multiple biographies and essay on George the Third.
Until very recently it was assumed he had porphyria, that was standard teaching and one i knew at a very early age. Yes we had to take exams.
Latest research, which the documentary makes explicit, is that was not the case. He was in the modern parlance, bi polar and extremely so.
Well aware of his mood swings and capable of letting himself be restrained, treated.
I have no evidence that George ever harmed by assault, anyone.
That he was obsessive, compulsive, seems quite evident from his papers, which are now free for all to view.
Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth , freed them and endorsed the research.

No criticism of George 3 in the documentary i am aware of. The opposite in fact, setting the record straight for years of thinking him mad. |
