Probably now Too many doors opening onto blank walls, a labyrinth of the old school and society network to even be able to get a hint of where he may have been at the time of the investigation let alone later. The file on ''Lucky Lucan'' was indeed interesting reading and the names therein made Debretts Peerage look like an appendix of who was who in U K society at the time. Knew a couple of officers who were attached to the case. Their comments were that they were treated with the utmost respect and the replies they got to questions asked would have and did eclipse any politician in their use of language to give one a bucket full of nothing information. The Mafia Omerta policy fades into an insignificant emasculated power compared to the wall of polite silence when dealing with the upper echelons of English society and its Freemasons concerning Lord Lucan.

Reminds me of a guy who ran a current affairs programme years ago on ITV, at Weekends. He looked the politician in the eye and said. "That was a very good answer minister, unfortunately that wasn't to the question I asked."
