Wonder away I say, just don't verbalise any of it because it's none of your business. Nearby neighbours are Thai, he a cop, she a teacher, they wanted to socialise so she, in particular, kept stopping by after school to chat. A lunch out or two, invites exchanged and accepted then the crescendo, "where did you both meet" she asked (he noticeably uncomfortable) - she was working I replied, soi 5 and lower suky I said without blinking.....silence....smiles....we must go now, never to return nor acknowledge our existence ever again. Sad really, so much assumption. |
