And I went forkin' nuts.
I misheard Paul talking about a staff member at our hotel. There's two here with eyes like dead sharks. I told him that's the type to avoid, eyes are the window to the soul, these two don't have one.
Two minutes later Paul wanted a photo of me wearing a Santa hat. Old Shark Eyes charged us 20 baht for me to put it on. I thought she was joking. Was she fork.
I went nuts.
This was complete and utter contempt for a guest who had spent five figures on accom, and five figures on drink. Forkin' 20 baht to rent a Santa hat for 30 seconds?

When I say I went nuts, I mean it. The Farang owner took a Whitey, Old Shark Eyes ended up storming out in an embarrassed huff. Anyone else that witnessed the scene was astonished ( and I'm sorry for that ).

20 baht? I couldn't care less about the money. It's the principle. Being treated with such rancid contempt is not acceptable.

I agree - for all the care and kindness we received in this hotel, she couldn't wait to fork it up. I was in a bar across the road, had several girls up dancing with us. One harassed the life out of Paul to buy lady drinks for all. I booted her out of our company. Went to the owner, changed money into smaller notes, and tipped all the dancers direct, except the harasser. She's entitled to ask, not to harass. I know the game. These girls need to earn. Like any sane guy I walk out with a budget to keep them going. |

I enjoy shouting cheap whiskey and beer for the lads in the village at our frequent afternoon gatherings.
Except for the ones who turn up and pour themselves a drink without asking.
They finish their one drink then sit with their tongues hanging out whilst I fill up the glasses all around them.

I mentioned before about guys having no say on the tarts and ex bg hookers their wives hire, and they wonder why their business goes to shit. Two words these twats hate are, facebook and trip advisor. |
