Purchased this little beast today. Currently sitting out the back throwing red wine soaked hickory wood chips into the charcoal to smoke a beef brisket and a pork shoulder.

I have a vertical bunnings smoker I used once with coconut husks. Worked a treat on chicken but not sure I can duplicate the results.

Congratulations. However it's a cancer generator by any other name. 1 in 2 gets cancer these days. Such is life. My stepfathers brother hasn't got long to go now his throat cancer has spread. I scratch my head because he never smoked , wasn't a drinker at all and never cooked on charoal. Not overweight at all , healthy and was the manager of a business so never breathed poisonous fumes etc. His parents are 94 and 91. Still going strong and healthy for their ages. My mum passed away at 64 from cancer. Never smoked , very small social drinker. Was a nurse her whole life. Not overweight and healthy. So please explain to me what cancer is?? (But start it on another thread please) This about charcoal cooking

This one did a complete Sunday roast. Ceramic pot with lid. Yep that works well. There's a lady in Bangkok that uses wire and hangs whole chickens in those pots and sells out everyday. Delicious!

Apparently a wet Hessian bag as a lid works, but we didn't have one.
