I remember smog in my youth, tbh, I enjoyed it. I liked the slightly acrid smell and the atmosphere around where I lived when smog came down - similar to the silence of snowfall.

Us old country boys thankfully missed those smogs, but I recall we had a number of of elderly and young relatives come to stay for a while to escape said smogs and the curse of death they carried if ones lungs and/or heart were not so strong. I can recall seeing pictures in the paper and some news on the BBC at the time pretty bloody awful situation .The benefit was it spawned The Clean Air Act which if my memory is correct was very effective too and again if my memory is correct within a two to three year time span Smog was but a bitter memory.

They should see Thailand's falling death rates. There's always someone falling off a balcony here.
