Since I've never caught a baht bus, what are the rules of these icons of Thailand?
How do you even catch one?
Is it fine to move all your shit furniture across town to your new house using one?
Can you pay extra to sit up front and have the drivers wife sit on your lap?
If he gets a flat tyre, do you offer to help change it, ask for money back, or stay up front with his wife on your lap and tell him to take his time changing the tyre?
Just wondering how it all works that's all?
Fire away!

I like to ride the Baht buses around Bangkok....if you get one tke it to Khao San or the airport....half the price of the tuk tuk mafia muppets!
Love em to bits and never been assaulted....well only by the low cost....oh man those buses....I want one!

There are no rules, Wait at stop for it to come along, helps if you can read Thai, Yes many thais use them for just that, The driver usually lets me ride for free if i sit on his wifes lap, he tells me it helps to shut her up, Tell him to pass you his ya dong bottle and to take his time, if he has a pack of smokes thell him to hand them over as well

Bring a few live chooks & piglets plus a huge basket of assorted fruits & veggies and a crate of cold beer. Wear old crusty shorts & a singlet with 7/11 sunglasses over your eyes. Hand out some beers to the other pax & driver...sit back...enjoy the ride/day.

Didn't even know there were baht buses in Bkk. Thought they only existed down in Pattaya (I do live in Bkk by the way)

Sit on the bench, nearest the back of the vehicle, stretch your legs out and do not move when people wish to exit or enter. A great way to meet new people.

On Nut below 77 has a mini hub of them under a bridge that has hundreds, not sure where all those go but it's quite busy.

Must be some more tales of The Baht Bus?? I live in khet Dusit. Along thanon Nakorn Chaisri only line #14 with small, appropriately orange coloured buses and the larger aircon ones. But then this is a civilised part of Bangkok
