Amazing the amount of work which goes into this. SpaceX does similar but as private company doesn't have the 'openness' requirement NASA has. Nice photos, immense building blocks. Imagine a flimsy tank which needs to handle more than 400F in temperature differences, need to cope with tons of more weight on it and needs to be as light as possible. Now that's a piece of engineering. "NASA, Boeing rewriting the book on building the SLS Core Stage NASA and Space Launch System (SLS) Core Stage prime contractor Boeing are making progress building their first vehicle, learning how to put it together and rewriting the assembly instructions on the fly. The major elements of Core Stage-1 (CS-1) and its companion structural test articles (STA) are being built up in work areas at the Michoud Assembly Facility (MAF) in New Orleans. Not far from each other, work to cover the outside of the flight propellant tanks with their thermal protection system (TPS) is going on in parallel with efforts to outfit the inside of the other multi-story tall structures with all the parts, plumbing, and wiring needed prior to being connected together." www.nasaspaceflight.com/2018/02/nasa-boeing-rewriting-book-building-sls-core-stage/

Another big piece and it's still only the 'test article'. Impressive pictures. "Pegasus ships latest SLS test article to NASA Marshall for key tests After a week and a half long river trip on Pegasus, the second of four Core Stage structural test articles (STA) arrived at the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama, to start final preparations for a series of structural tests planned to begin this Summer." www.nasaspaceflight.com/2018/03/pegasus-sls-test-article-nasa-marshall-tests/
