Somehow the title suggests there's something like a 'good, medically prescribed dose of mercury' "What fish should you skip to avoid consuming excessive mercury? Eating fish is beneficial for health, say experts, because fish is a rich source of protein, omega-3 fatty acids, as well as a variety of vitamins and minerals. However, because of water pollution caused by chemical manufacturing, coal burning and other industries, fish often contains the metallic element mercury, in the form of methylmercury. Excessive amounts of methylmercury can have a detrimental effect on your body, particularly the central nervous system. It is especially harmful for young children, breastfeeding babies and the developing foetus in pregnant women." sg.yahoo.com/style/fish-skip-avoid-consuming-excessive-mercury-072132612.html

Excessive amounts of methylmercury can have a detrimental effect on ... the developing foetus in pregnant women." So, if you're having twins or triplets methylmercury isn't an issue for the developing fetus (it's 4th declension, so that's what the plural is).

The authors are full of $hit, and typing whatever just to generate content. It's well established that tuna is one of the worst common fish for mercury, whether in the form of sushi, canned, or otherwise. It is a very large, long lived fish that is a virtual warehouse of accumulated mercury.
The best bet is small, short lived fish.
Those modest size, dirt cheap fresh mackerel at Lotus and Big C are a much safer choice than any tuna, and they are rich in omega 3's.
A $hit article, probably paid for by Big Tuna canneries.

For what its worth living in Thailand, the gulf of Thailand has some of the highest Mercury levels below the sea bed in the world and this is not debateable, however what is debateable is whether this is leaching and coming up into the water and by extension being absorbed by the sea life people are eating analysis.decomworld.com/projects-and-technologies/mercury-barometer-asias-asset-disposal-readiness

What that article doesn't make clear is whether it's about organic mercury compounds (which aren't very good for you), or metallic mercury, which is pretty much harmless.

All this mercury in fish might explain then why I grow 4 inches taller when it is hot and 4 inches shorter when it's cold.

Well all I know when it was cold the girls always used to say ''Is it in, or is that in?'' When it was hot it was always ''Bloody 'ell, that's a big 'un.''
