I drove past the Townsville showgrounds with a mate early '80s and INXS were about to play. The grounds were deserted and the promoters were literally throwing free tickets at every car that drove past.
I remember looking at the ticket and thinking "INKS, what a pussy name" and we kept driving.

Hardly a household name, I'd venture any real vintage guitars he is selling will reach a higher price if he has not signed them. Can't see much of his collection in the photo. For sure the CAR strat is worth $10k plus not sure about the $45k they reckon!! wishful thinking! otherwise what is his collection? looks like a bunch of crappy Asian fender knockoffs. 100 bucks a piece sounds about fair. Vintage market has been soft for decades, just way too many fakes out there has ruined the market. Only real nice pieces with proper provenance are reaching good prices. As a collector I only buy items that can not have been faked ie it is not financially worth faking it therefore it has not been faked. Poor Hutch he was shacked up with that 'orrible skank Geldofs cast off wife Paula. The coroner was shocked to find jizz over every wall in the room. Wanked 'imself to death m'lud prolly with a strap over his mouth like our mate Carradine in Bkk. case closed. |

INXS and particularly Michael did nothing for me except for the occasional good rift.
However, Kirk is good fun and a great ambassador for eye disease.
I can't find his stint on that cooking show but it sure was funny.

Meet the guy in the airport once, didnt recognise him at first, what a effin pock marked face, looked like a pizza.
Could never understand why he dumped the scandi stunner he was with for that pig Paula.

INXS were certainly a household name in the UK but they gave the appearance (whether intentional or not?) of being Michael Hutchence's backing band. There was no personality cult for the rest of the band. |

^^^^ could say the same for most bands, the singer is usually the song writer, without him the rest are ferked.
Take Barnsey out of Chisel, what happened, no one heard of them.
Steve Kilbey has released many albums out of The Church.
Morrisey, leaves The Smiffs and no one ever hears of them again.
